Kwik Trip, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Production Manager. This individual will work closely with the Dairy Management Team and play an integral role in the planning and implementation of creating a blow molding facility at Kwik Trip, Inc. This person will also be responsible in ensuring the production of quality products are created in a safe manner and on a timely basis. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
manage overall blow mold department functions to meet or exceed financial, productivity and shrink expectations; effectively manage, develop, coach and train all blow mold co-workers; implement and develop safety programs and policies to meet or exceed OSHA, Corporate, Production Operations, and Dairy Department guidelines and requirements; develop, execute and monitor quality systems to ensure a high quality product is consistently manufactured daily. This leader will also be responsible for completing daily and weekly paperwork; creating work schedules; reviewing time records, writing performance appraisals; following and enforcing all company policies; maintaining the Dairy’s working conditions (cleanliness, safety, security, inventory).
Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday daytime hours with some night and weekend work as necessary.
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years experience in: blow molding, food manufacturing, and supervising a team of co-workers. Currently have CPR/AED certification, OSHA 10hr, HACCP training, LEAN training or the ability to achieve said accreditations; strong proven leadership skills; ability to work well alone and as part of a team; strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; problem solving skills; accurate and detail oriented; willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks; read, understand, and interpret numbers; ability to provide co-workers with timely and professional job performance feedback; exercise sound judgment within company guidelines; follow and enforce company policies; prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks; meet department deadlines; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products; work in a fast paced, safety conscious environment; work with minimal supervision; and possess traits of Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Core Values: high level of Honesty & Integrity, show Respect, strive for Excellence and Humility, encourage Innovation and espouse a "roll up your sleeves" Work Ethic. Maintenance aptitude is a plus.
