Schedule: Part Time Casual (less than 20 hours per week)
Hours: Weekend/Variable Hours
Serve as a medical professional for the Post Deployment Health Reassessment (PDHRA) Call Center and Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) programs. Assess Service Member’s response on surveys and interviews telephonically to determine their current state of mental and physical health. Educate and issue referrals as necessary to appropriate health care provider resources. Also responsible for data entry into databases for validation and completion of forms.
Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the medical field; effective interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills; ability to maintain a calm, supportive attitude during crisis or potential crisis situations; ability to work independently and with minimal supervision; must possess and demonstrate excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities; and basic experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Master's Degree from an accredited university in a Nurse Practitioner program combined with one year of experience as a NP with an emphasis in primary care; current state licensure as an NP from any U.S. State or territory and national certification as a NP.
Physician Assistant (PA) - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a Physician Assistant program combined with one year of experience as a PA with an emphasis in primary care; current state licensure as an PA from any U.S. State or territory and National Commission for Certification of PA (NCCPA).
Preferred: Experience with identification, diagnosis or treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); database experience; previous military healthcare experience, military experience or experience working with military personnel; knowledge of military health care and systems including military medical entitlements, post-mobilization medical benefits and Department of Veterans Affairs programs and benefits.
National Career Readiness Certificate preferred.
