The Store Engineering Department of Kwik Trip, Inc., is based in La Crosse, WI and services our 365 plus retail store locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. The co-workers in this department are responsible for designing, building, remodeling, and maintaining Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, and Tobacco Outlet Plus stores, Hearty Platter restaurants, as well as our car washes. Store Engineering Warehouse co-workers maintain an inventory of necessary materials, parts and equipment and deliver the appropriate materials to the work sites. The preventative maintenance team travels to all of our stores verifying that store equipment including coolers, freezers, soda and coffee machines, and gas dispensers are in excellent working condition to provide our customers with the best quality products while keeping repair costs down.

Kwik Trip, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced General Construction Superintendent. The selected individual will be managing construction projects within Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Convenience Store Industry. This professional will be responsible for supervising a team of subcontractors as well as coordinating the implementation and completion of all phases of new construction and remodeling of convenience store projects throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. The position will require knowledge of site grading, site utilities, gas install, underground storage tank install, gas canopies, building construction, carwash construction, building systems, carpentry, landscaping, erosion control, and OSHA Standards.

Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday daytime hours, however, includes occasional evenings as necessary. Minimum 5 years of experience in related construction field. Experience in reading plans and specifications; knowledgeable in construction methods, materials, and regulations; ability to be flexible and work effectively and safely in a fast paced environment; strong oral and written communication skills necessary to establishing working relationships with other superintendents, supervisors, designers, contractors, and inspectors; ability to create, implement, and execute plans; collect, analyze, and interpret information into meaningful results; ability to provide subcontractors with timely and professional performance feedback; exercise sound judgment within company guidelines; follow and enforce company policies; meet department deadlines; ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision; maintain schedule to complete projects within time and budget; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products; possess a high level of confidentiality and professionalism; valid driver's license with an excellent driving record; DOT regulated or the ability to become DOT regulated; willingness to travel 5 days per week; willingness to live within close proximity to La Crosse, WI.
