| Kwik Trip's Network Support Department has an opening for a Junior Network Technical Analyst to work on the Kwik Trip server team. This individual will be part of a 2 member server team that is responsible for designing, implementing, configuring and maintaining the Kwik Trip server farm consisting of both physical and virtual servers. As part of the server team, this person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and optimization of all Windows servers. Other duties include planning, coordinating and executing upgrades, migrations, conversions and implementations for all Windows based servers and enterprise storage systems, developing capacity planning techniques for enterprise storage solution, managing server resources, maintaining patches and updates, managing the performance of multiple hardware platforms, monitoring servers in relationship to traffic/bandwidth and internet connectivity, ensuring availability of hardware/software services on all Windows platforms and maintaining documentation for all devices relating to the Kwik Trip server infrastructure. |

| Education, training, experience: |
Educational background normally attained through an associates degree in an Information Technology related field or equivalent training/experience; minimum of 1-3 years networking\server experience and 1 or more years experience working with virtual servers, enterprise storage solutions and enterprise backup solutions; knowledge of server and desktop operating systems (XP, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008) as well as Exchange 2007 Server and MS-SQL server 2005, general networking relating to TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS; experience with Cisco switches and fiber connectivity concepts; ability to communicate effectively with end users; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; strong analytical skills that enable this person to collect information and interpret data in order to troubleshoot and solve problems; ability to multitask and perform work in an organized, timely manner; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of and experience with the following products: VSphere v3.5 and v4.0, Tivoli Storage Manager, NetApp enterprise storage solution, SnapManager for SQL, SnapManager for Exchange.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 40 lbs and stoop/kneel/crouch as needed for carrying and setting up equipment.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, daytime hours with rotating on call responsibilities. |
